Interface Meeting at Molika-liko Health Facility- Data driven advocacy

14/08/2025 Mokhotlong team held an interface meeting at Molika-liko HC as the initial stage of advocacy process of Community-Led Monitoring (CLM). This initiative is dedicated to promoting friendly and high-quality healthcare services for adolescent girls and young women (AGYW).

The engagement was marked by a spirit of cooperation and openness from the Molika-liko team, who warmly welcomed the CLM process and appreciated its role as a vital mechanism in improving healthcare quality. Their support and commitment was truly inspiring, reinforcing the importance of collaborative advocacy.

Key issues identified identified and their resolutions were:

 _Delayed Waiting Time_

Providers have agreed to adopt a “supermarket approach” for all early-arriving patients. They will document the time at each service point, up to end service, to better monitor and reduce waiting times.

 _Staff Friendliness_

Providers have committed to creating a more welcoming and friendly environment for AGYWs

 _Facility Accessibility_

BRB will continue to advocate for expanded outreach services to improve accessibility. Additionally, staff have pledged to consistently announce upcoming outreach activities to ensure higher patient participation.

Encouragingly, these concerns were addressed with actionable resolutions and clear commitments from the facility staff to enhance service delivery. This demonstrates the positive impact of CLM advocacy and the willingness of health facilities to work with communities towards meaningful improvements.

We extend our gratitude to the team at Molika-liko Health Facility and all participants for their active involvement and dedication. Together, we are making significant strides toward ensuring youth-friendly, accessible, and quality healthcare for all AGYW.
